Tata Indigo is a class of sub-compact and sedan cars manufactured by Indian automobile company Tata Motors. The first generation of Indigo, which was launched in the Indian market in 2002, is based on the Tata Indica, a sub-compact hatchback. The two cars shared a similar design, while the Indigo had a higher wheelbase, a 450-litre trunk, and turbocharged-diesel and petrol engine options. The car received its first design refresh in 2006, giving it distinguishing features from the Indica, such as more upmarket double-barreled headlamps, front fog-lamps, more upmarket interiors with fabric upholstery, etc.
Mahindra has unveiled the Verito Electric at the 2016 Auto Expo, New Delhi. This is an addition to Mahindra’s electric lineup, in which Mahindra e20 is also included. It was first showcased at 2014 Auto Expo and reportedly. It incorporates the same 3-phase induction motor, which is used in Mahindra e20. This enables the car to attain a claimed top speed of 86kmph. After a complete charge of 7 hours, the Verito Electric can run all the way to 100 kms. Verito Electric acquires hill-hold and stand-still pick up as an added assistance to the driver. The car also grabs benefit from the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) scheme that enables subsidies on electric vehicles.
Chevrolet Tavera MPV comes with two engine options. Either you can opt for the 2.5 litre turbo diesel engine or a 2.0 litre TDCi diesel engine (with VGT) that is sourced from Sonalika. Chevrolet Tavera comes in 7 variants with 1 engine and 1 transmission and 1 fuel options.
The Mahindra Xylo is a CUV, designed and manufactured by Mahindra & Mahindra. The Xylo was launched on 13 January 2009 at Nashik. More than 3,000 units of Xylo were sold in its first full month of sales, after launch in March 2009. It was launched in India in early 2009.However, since then sales have slowly declined, and it is widely believed that sales have not lived up to Mahindra's expectations. The Xylo was loosely based on the Mahindra Scorpio's ladder frame chassis. This chassis was modified to take account of the Xylo's longer wheelbase and higher refinement requirements. The Xylo was launched with a number of seating configurations, including two up front, and two benches 8 seats, or two up front, middle row captain seats and a rear bench 7 seats.
